My Level of fitness is in jeopardy

I am going to California for ten days - without my bike, or my other bike.

Track

We went to the Thursday Night Races at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome this evening. It was rained out but we managed to catch a few races first. We liked it so much that we were tempted to actually take track racing clinics.

Velodrome Casualty

We went to the Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook today. That was our first time riding on the track. Most of us rode 35 miles slow to medium with a lot of sprints.

Besides being avid cyclists, the members of the tenspeed hero bike club are also artists.

Stuff Found on Bikerides

Either I need a small digital camera that I can carry in my jersey pocket or I need to carry plastic bags in said pocket to collect interesting objects. Today I found the skull pictured above and a Livestrong bracelet that was a bit too filthy to pick up. But if I had a camera I would have photographed it where it lay (about the 2000 block of Irving Park Road).
